Cell Reports
  • We revealed the mechanisms and an unexpected function of ribosome stalling mediated by microRNAs.
  • We found that microRNA-mediated ribosome stalling enhances the production of secondary siRNAs that regulate the stress responses and plant development.
  • The knowledge obtained from this research could be exploited to develop novel techniques that allow efficient expression of transgenes by suppressing undesirable RNA silencing.
