Chromatin changes during the developmental stage “prepare” neurons for functional acquisition.

Pressrelease
(Go to the IQB Japanese Website)We have developed a simple method to label specific types of neurons that share the same “birthdate.”
We discovered that chromatin structure changes occurring during the four days following differentiation are critical for the functionality of mature neurons.
This research is expected to shed light on the characteristics of different neuron types and contribute to understanding the principles of brain construction and operation.
