Research area
I am studying the mechanism of how genomic DNA is inherited to the next generation.
In particular, the roles of SMC complexes, modulators of higher-order DNA structures, in the maintenance and inheritance of genetic information are the major research topics.
Recently, I have also started to study the human microbiota, bacterial communities that live on the human body surface.
Research tools; NGS-based technologies (ex. ChIP-seq, Hi-C), bioinformatics, mathematical modeling.
